The study of Excavation focused more on the safety of itself while the influence on the environments around is neglected. This paper studies the surface displacement and deformation induced by excavation through computing and analyzing, and the influence of which on the adjacent building. The main conclusions are as follows:1. Based on the elastic semi-plane stress solution of the semicircular excavation and rectangle excavation, deducing the soil displacement equation around the foundation pit. Comparing and analyzing shows that the elastic stress solution agrees with the solution of the finite numerical method well; and indicates that the resilience calculation based on the elastic stress solution is more reasonable than that of traditional method.2. Together with the outcome existed, deduces the simplify equation of the ground surface displacement and deformation induced by the excavation in the free field; With supposing the ground surface settlement model, deduces the simplified equation of the ground surface settlement induced by excavation in the building existed field. The observed data agree with the solutions by simplified equation well which verifies that the simplified equation is reasonable.3. Modeling and analyzing the ground surface displacement and deformation induced by the excavation in the free field and building existed field through finite numerical method. Comparing and analyzing shows that the ground surface settlement in the building existed field is bigger than that in the free field, and there is much difference in the settlement model between them. Comparing the result by simplified equation with that by finite numerical method, which verifies that the supposing in the simplified equation is reasonable.4. Considering the coactions between structure, foundation and soil, models the foundation pit and building nearby. The solution reflects the influence regularity of the excavation on the building nearby, that is the influence on the bottom floor is much stronger, and the degree of the influence reducing while the distance from the excavation increasing.5.
