With the development of city construction, high storied building and large scale structure of civil engineering become more and more common. The construction of this structure is inevitablely to bring about many foundation pits, the technology of pit supporting and earth retaining is the key of design and execution of foundation pit.The developing situation and supporting type of foundation pit are introduced in this essay, the method of choosing supporting type reasonability is also given, the formula derivation of static force equilibrium of cantilever soldier pile and single layer pivot soldier pile is as the main content, and the relative tables are compiled. This calculation method is applied on the pit supporting of Zhang Cha-Renmin Lu section in FoShan load in Guangdong Province.The finite element analysis with two dimension elastoplastic model of cantilever soldier pile and single pivot layer soldier pile is also done in the essay, the displacement of surface is observed.Basis on the analysis of manual work and numerical calculation, the author draws conclusions as the following:1. In the reconstruct area of thick structure, it is feasible and effective to use soldier pile support to against the structure effect made by ground deformation of foundation pit. Only it has to do the water-stop work.2. It can use cantilever soldier pile as a support form when the foundation pit is within 5 meters.3. Regarding the cantilever soldier pile structure, the final results is different by the soil pressure distributing form, which difference is around 10% when use Rankine's theory or that of the code. It is safer by using Rankine's theory model.4. When the foundation pit is too deep, it is proved that cantilever soldier pile could not be use. And it can choose the single layer pivot soldier pile to support. Also, the inner support and anchor should be chosen according to the practice, respectively.5. Regarding the single layer pivot soldier pile structure, it is presumed by a ream-meet and peg-meet at the bottom. In these two models, the discrepancy of the embedding deep of the soldier pile is not too big.
