| The foreign culture from western country has great influence on Chinese modern cities and architecture. There is a lot of research at the aspect. But it is still rarely seen to look on the city which opens to the world as object to research independently, especially to keep the city characteristic. This thesis is on the basic of researching modern cities which opens to the world. It leads culture ecology, the research achievement crossing over many realms, into the study of urban space and city culture of these cities. The paper makes an overall understanding of the system of city culture and discusses the characteristics of cultural environments from the angle of cultural ecosystem. Then the paper discusses the dialectic relation between local and foreign culture and probes into zoology status of foreign culture and attitude how to treat the foreign culture using the ecological research method. It thereby offers theoretic guidance on architecture design in the cities which opens to the world. In the research of protecting foreign cultural inheritance the paper protects the city culture as a whole aimed at the new characteristics of urban space and city culture. It puts forward the strategy of the city foreign culture's conservation and development using the research angle of culture ecology. Facing the unique territorial ecological context of city culture, the paper brings forward the measure of the architecture innovation on the base of analyzing and researching a great deal of examples. And it makes suggestions on how to keep outstanding characteristics of the cities in the society with increasing frequency of cultural exchange. |
