Since the 1990's, there has been no fashion in the west architecture world. Variety and integration become the main characteristics in the architectural art. Along with the opening of our architectural market, more and more foreign architects have joined to our internal projects. They directly bring foreign ideas into our nation, form production, and then make more direct effect. During the period of time, because of the difference of their production level, the ones of known architects have a great impact and are discussed widely. The thesis takes the Country Natural Sciences Fund Project "Construction Form Constitution Analysis And Graphical Representation Language Research" in a topic part. The thesis takes the main production of two contemporary American architects, Frank Gehry and Richard Meier, as research object. Through the analysis of their thoughts and production, it describes how to make use of modern techniques, how to emphasize surroundings, space, structure and details etc., and how to pay attention to material structure and building form, to separately design novel and makes widely known, pure and quiet buildings. The thesis focuses on their achievements in different periods, that is architecture itself, not others far from it.The thesis understands the exploration and development in architectural constitution and construction modeling of Gehry and Meier from both theoretical analysis and concrete examples. These analysis illuminates that the basic method and theory to analyses buildings can be still regarded as the beginning to design and study, and the birth and recognition of new things only are the useful supplement for the tradition. For the trend of our current architectural development, we should not stay it in the appearance to know about the known architects, but research their essential methods and design rules.
