This paper studied the manufacture of concrete with the high-volume fly ash for the anchorage of Huangpu bridge of Pearl River, and studied various experimental performance on the high-volume fly ash concrete, mainly about the influences of fly ash volume to the concrete' s durability and microscopic aspect.The experimental results indicated that the high-volume fly ash concrete (volume of the fly ash in concrete was beyond 50%) had superior capability in workability, mechanics performance and durability. So it could definitely apply in some important projects like bridge project. According to the experimental data, with the increasing in volume of the mixed the fly ash, the workability of the concrete tended to improve while the concrete' s early strength would reduce. But the superiority of the concrete with high-volume fly ash was that its later strength was very superior. The experiment proved that the later period strength of the concrete with high-volume fly ash was better than the plain concrete. The experimental result indicated that with the increasing in fly ash volume, the concrete' s anti-carbonized performance would be affected. Therefore, according to the experimental data, the concrete with the fly ash between 30% and 50%, their anti- carbonization was differ slightly than the plain concretes' . But when the fly ash volume was beyond 70%, its anti-carbonized performance could be affected seriously. The fly ash could improve the capability in anti- chloride ion corrosiveness of concrete. The capability was good when fly ash volume was 20-30% in the concrete. The capability would drop when the volume was about 50%, but the capability still was better than the plain concrete.This paper also studied on the concrete with high volume fly ash about the raw material, the age time, the density and the microscopic experimentation analysis and accounted the cost of the concrete with high-volume fly ash finally.
