During the interconnection of power system through areas and the benefit from the development of power market, the economy, security and stability of power system become a big challenge. The general reactive power optimization is only to reduce the loss of the system and improve the quality of voltage, which is suitable when system has enough power capability. Although, when load increases quickly, the power from far has a large proportion, and so that the transmission capability is possibly close to the limit, which makes the possibility of voltage crash bigger. Therefore, how to consider the economy and security is important.The thesis prevents the voltage stability constrained reactive power optimization. It defines dynamic reactive power repertory of generator and voltage lower limit constrained by voltage stability, which are constraints of reactive power optimization; calculate the voltage lower limit of the important stations which maintain the voltage stability and dynamic reactive power repertory of generator. Then the results are supplied to the reactive power optimize and control system. As the constrained conditions of voltage control, combining the control methods of AVC system, the consistent of the two conceptions can be achieved. Thus the voltage stability and quality of the system can be kept.This thesis analyzes the voltage stability with continuation power flow, acquiring the PV curve of whole system, which reflects that the voltage changes with the loads. And, the thesis analyzes how the voltage stability is affected by reactive power optimization devices.Because of the scale of power system and time demand of software in factual application, the thesis adopts the Interior Point Method, which ensures the feasibility of factual application.Factual application indicates that the proposed method balances the economy and security of the system better, controls the devices in reason, reduces the loss of the system efficiently, and improves the quality of voltage, which is applied in Fujian power system successfully.
