It has been recognized as an efficient method to strengthening RC structures with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers (CFRP) sheet and has been widely developed and applied in engineering for its outstanding performances such as high strength, low weight, corrosion resisting, together with the handy operations suppressing to traditional retrofitting methods. However, the method of strengthening RC with CFRP has been studied for only about two years in our country, so there are many problems without being solved, such as peeling-offat the end of CFRP sheet.Referring to the alien and native research works conducted before, we develop a new method of anchorage to avoid peeling-off at the end of CFRP sheet To study the behavior of the CFRP anchor in concrete, we conducted two sets of tests, including "strengthening the beam in the beam-collum joint with CFRP sheet by the new method of anchorage to resistant negative flexure moment" and "strengthening the beam with CFRP sheet by the new method of anchorage to resistant shear". By the results of tests, we analyzed the performance of the RC structure. Finally, we studied the anchor at the end of CFRP sheet by mechanics.Based on the tests results, we can conclude that it is efficient to increase the shear strength by bonding CFRP sheet to the beam surface with the end of CFRP sheet anchored in concrete. Because of no obvious increasing in flexure strength of beam, more studies is needed. To the anchor at the end of CFRP of sheet, additional experimental and analytical research is needed.
