Corrosion of reinforcing bar in reinforced concrete beams leads to reduction of the cross-section of the reinforcing bar and change of steel mechanical properties, longitudinal cracking of concrete cover and change of bond strength between steel and concrete . In the present thesis, flexural capacity of RC beams with localized unbonding is researched. Firstly, experiment about 12 RC beams with different reinforcement ratio and different length of unbonding is carried. Then, new flexural capacity model about corroded RC beams: model of trapezoid deformation area is established. Lastly, the finite element software: ANSYS is used to simulate the researched RC beams. The main research works that have been done are as follows:1. Experiment about 12 RC beams with different reinforcement ratio and different unbonding length is carried.
