With the rapid development of economic and social, the demand of the people on building structure and function increased, which made the numbers of intelligent building increased. Varieties of building auxiliary facilities depend on the buildings are becoming more and more complex. Currently, most pipelines are set under the beam, which squeeze a lot of space of buildings. Thus, the project cost will certainly increase, which is more prominent in the high-rise buildings. However, the beams with openings can just solve the problem by making the pipelines go through it.In that way, the use of space increased, accompany with the reducing of weight and the load effect so as to make the project cost reduced. What’s more, to obtain more significant economic and social benefits. Therefore, the opening of reinforced concrete beams has broad application prospects. In this thesis, the research is mainly about the flexural capacity of T-shaped reinforced concrete beams with openings on concentrated and uniform load.Circular holes and rectangular holes were considered. ANSYS finite element analysis software was used to analysis the effect of the pore size, pore offset position, opening the shape and aspect ratio of the rectangular holes on mechanical performance of beams. The results were as follows:(1)With increasing of the size of the holes, the bearing capacity of the beams reduced on concentrated loads. When the holes moved to the tension zone, the capacity and deflection of beams increased. However, when the distance of the bottom edge of the hole and the bottom edge of the beam is less than200mm, the bearing capacity of the beam will be reduced. But when the hight of holes reached to1/3of the height of beams, the offset position had no effect on the bearing capacity. When the two holes were in the same area, the creation of holes in the mechanical properties of rectangular beam was better than circular holes and the bearing capacity would improve. When the two forms of holes were in the same height, bearing capacity of circular holes were higher.(2) Under the uniformly distributed load, the effect of the beams with circular on bearing capacity was not notable. With increasing of the size of the holes, the bearing capacity of the beams reduced. Considering the applicability, the distance of the bottom of holes and bottom of the beam is best more than150mm. When opening the rectangular holes, if the aspect ratio of the beam is less than or equal to1.5and the height of holes is less than or equal to3/5of beams, the bearing capacity of the beam reduced slightly. When the size of rectangular holes exceeds this limit, the bearing capacity of the beam would reduced drastically.
