With the application of Non-Conventional Instrument Transformers, the publishing of IEC 61850 and the technical maturity of the intelligent breaker, it is inevitable for protection systems to transform from conventional protection systems to all-digital protection systems. Since the application of the Non-Conventional Instrument Transformer and the Optic-Fibercommunication network are the distinct characteristics of all-digital protection systems, this thesis will focus on the influence of these two key technologies on all-digital protection systems by using an evaluation platform.First, the thesis introduces an open, integrative simulation system of microprocessor-based protection, which integrates the fault simulation system, the protection simulation system and the protection evaluation system in a complete system by using MATLAB.
