Reverse Engineering And Rapid Prototyping And Rapid Tooling Integrated Technology Study Of The Complicated Surface Parts

Reverse Engineering (RE) and (RP), combined with RT, may fundamentally change the traditional mode of production design and manufacturing, it becomes to be reality to design and manufacture products rapidly in order to fit the need of market rapidly . It can accomplish many problems that can not be solved by traditional manufacturing technology . It is a useful technology that can improve the quality of tooling , shorten the design period , save expense and improve flexibility.In this paper , the rapid development of tap is using as the object to study the pattern of rapid development of complicated curved surface,of which RE and RP and RT&M are the key enabling technologies . The techniques of data gaining are preprocessing in RE are discussed in detail after all kinds of measuring methods are analyzed and compared and chosen in this paper . By acquiring and preprocessing scanning data of tap ,the general manipulation flow of data preprocessing is explored.In addition ,the basic theory and methods of surface reconstruction are researched. The surface can be constructed rapidly as requested if the difference and accuracy analysis are applied to the surface reconstruction process. The paper also researches the method of CAD model reconstruction, based on the Surfacer and Pro/E software platform.According to the characteristic of each RP/M process, the thesis discussed the adaptability of RP/M technology to the complicate curved surface product from the view of material ,accuracy, efficiency and model characteristic. And the paper also discuss the main method of RP&M technology, the data exchange in machining, the model slicing processing, the creation of scanning path, STL file information processing ,surface processing technology and the prototyping accuracy.Last ,the paper makes research on the theory and practice of the rapid silicone rubber tooling technology based on RE and RP .We used the technology to make the silicone rubber mold for tap, and construct a new mode of the complicate curved surface product development based on RE/RP/RT combined technology.This paper has reference valve for the rapid tooling technology based on RE and RP.
