With the full display of the respective function of steel products and the concrete, and enjoying the high superiority over both the steel structure and the concrete structure, Concrete-filled Square Steel Tubular Column structure has already been increasingly applied to the construction industry. The joint of Concrete-filled Square Steel Tubular Column and H-shaped steel beam is the key point in the construction framework as the connecting point and the power transmission link. However, recommended joint forms are quite few in the present regulation, and there is also a lot of room to be desired in many aspects.Based on the analysis of the design concept and the current forms of joints, two new types of joints—rigid joints-diaphragm-through style joint and vertical stiffener joint are proposed—and makes a comparative study of the two in terms of bearing capacity. First, the paper comps detailed are the bearing capacity formula of the two joints according to their different structural characteristics and comes up with the different formula forms resulted from their different connecting way. Then by means of static tensile experiment, it compares the destruction ways and the experimental results of the two joints. Through the empirical datum contrast analysis, it can be seen that the diaphragm-through style joint surpasses the vertical stiffener joint by its simply structure, stable performance, high supporting capacity and accurate damage prediction, etc.Through the joint strain analysis, we can be clear about the submissive mechanism and the stress transmissions of two joints—diaphragm-through style joint yields by the beam flange edge which causes the festival to yield, while the vertical stiffener joint yields by the vertical ribbed plate which starts the entire joint to yield. The research results suggest that the yielding capacity and stiffness of the joint should be increased by the concrete filled in the tube.In order to further the analysis of bearing capacity of the two joints, return theory and neural network method in computer science are adopted in the paper. Return theory is a theory that is based on the established mathematical model and the empirical datum, and obtains uncertain treats through the matrix operation. The uncertain treats could adjust the original theoretical formula to be more precise and also could take some appropriate discounting on the original formula, making the return formula approaches closer to the actual experiment results. It is a rewarding tentative study to relate the neural network to the research of joint bearing capacity. With the aid of the high calculation speed of computers, a neural network is set up which could obtain the joint bearing capacity value under the premise of just inputting the size of joint, regardless of the functional relation.
