The 3D numerical simulation and flow analysis of G4-73No.8D centrifugal fans are carried with NUMECA in order to investigate the internal flow field of fans. The result shows that the jets-wake flows exist in the outlet of centrifugal impeller and they reduce the fan's performance. In this thesis, the numerical simulation of fan adding different length of splitter blades is carried to weaken the jet-wake flow, and optimized length of additional splitter blades is defined according to the improvement of flow field in centrifugal fans adding different splitter blades. And then, the experiment results of performance and noise approve that the total pressure increases obviously, the highly effective area broadens within a narrow range, the efficiency of total pressure increases under declared working condition of the improved fans.
