When DC and AC transmission lines are set along the same right of way, electromagnetic couple will be generated. Based upon the PSCAD/EMTDC software, this thesis discusses the method of computing electromagnetic induction between DC and AC transmission lines. The equivalent model of converter station is given at steady state and it is verified by an example. At the same time this thesis analyses the factors which impact the electromagnetic induction and some useful conclusion is drawn. Finally a practical project is analyzed. After a model is established for simulation in the PSCAD/EMTDC, the inductive current and voltage are calculated at the different distance between the parallel part and converter station. The maximum bias current is obtained in the converter transformers. The conclusion is significant to practical project.
