With the high-speed development of the economy of our country in recent years, personnel and goods and materials flow day by day frequently. This causes surge of the traffic demand. Transport the highway of the main channel as personnel and goods and materials, existing scale and grade are more difficult to satisfy with the requirements for it of economic development. In order to meet demands of economic development, a lot of highways are being built now, at the same time widening and reconstructing to the original highway or going on. In the extension project of the highway, often need widening on both sides of original highway or on one side, involve the question of expanding of the bridge on the original highway like this.Generally speaking, if the original bridge can be satisfied widens the standard of loading after reconstructing , they will be kept and reached the widened demand through concatenating new beams at their both sides or one side, because it is more economic to do it in this way . It can also keep the passing through of the vehicle and pedestrian during the process of constructing at the same time. But it has brought the connection question of the new or old structure in the concatenation bridge. The problem which the new or old structure of beam bridges are connected is the research object with the widened highway. Through theory and finite element analytical method widen old bridges change of strength that produce divide among old top structure of bridge because of influencing by newly-built part of the bridge after the concatenation are Analysis and studied, especially Model T beam bridge.Through the computational analysis of the theory, the method for the analyses of the load distribution of widen bridge is proposed. The influence factor of the load distribution coefficient of the old bridge girder is analyzed. The results of calculation of two kinds of forms have been analyzed and compared.Through the analytical method of finite element, the additional strength produced by difference of creep and shrink of old and new concrete and difference of new or old bridge foundation subside is analyzed among new or old bridge connection interface and original girder. Characteristic of shrink and creep of concrete and old and the reason that the additional strength is produced is introduced. The method for controlling the effect of shrink and creep is proposed. the reason of difference of new or old bridge foundation subside and computing method is introduced. The method for controlling the effect of foundation subsides is proposed. On the basis of computational analysis, widening the concatenation method of T beam bridge and plate girder bridge has been proposed.
