A Study On The Historical Value And The Conservation Strategy Of The Campus Of University Of Shanghai

Since the 1980s, the modern urban heritage conservation of Shanghai has made great progress in the spread of concepts, improvement of the legal system and practical operation. Nowadays, the effectiveness and operability are badly in need of enhancement. The deeper and more comprehensive study of historical background and style charactors of numerous modern heritages which are rich in types is the most important foundation of heritage conservation.By the case study on the historical value and the tragety of conservation of the campus of University of Shanghai, this artical provide the deep understanding of history, style charactors and actuality of the campus as a reference for campus conservation. On the other hand, by the analysis and re-thinking of research process, this artical try to inspire the thingking on the reading and appraisement of the value of historical architecture group, and provide the basic research of conservation in this layer.There are three core parts in this artical: "campus history" is a retrospect of the development process of the campus; "style and features study of the campus"is a particular research and demonstration of the historical space and architecture style of the campus; "actuality appraisement and the tragety of conservation" provide the discription of the actuality of the space and architecture heritage in the campus, on base of which the preservation objects are denified and the tragety of conservation is presented.The methods of historical value study, actuality appraising and exploitation control are argued in the end of this article.
