The pipes conveying fluid is widely used in the field of ocean, biology, energy sources of petroleum, chemistry, power of water, space navigation, nucleus engineering and so forth. Under some conditions, these pipes may vibrate strongly and become unstable. The vibration not only cause noise but also make a dangerous result because of the cracking of the pipes and leak of fluid when the vibration reach some degree and lasting a long time. So it is important to avoid the vibration in the design of the pipes. A great of work has been done on the study of the pipes conveying fluid and some methods such as parse method, transfer matrix method, high precision direct integration method, finite element method and so on have been brought forward. But most study is about straight pipes , the study about curved pipes is relatively less and less simulation of vibrant model of pipes is done because the limit of some methods.......On the basis of consulting lots of home and oversea data, using the finite elementmethod, this dissertation comprehends profoundly the dynamics and stability of curved pipes conveying fluid which centreline is inextensible and which boundary condition is clamped-free, clamped-clamped, clamped-pinned, pinned-pinned that are constantly used in engineering. It study how flow velocity affect the eigenfrequency of the curved pipes and the stability of the pipes is also considered. The critical flow velocities and types of instabilities of curved pipes for the four boundary conditions are obtained. The vibrant models for the four boundary conditions under different velocities are obtained also.......This paper make a UPF(User Programmable Features) application developmentof a FEM software ANSYS and define a user curved pipes element to solve. Namely using a advanced program language to make a program of curved pipes element, then link the program with ANSYS, add the user-defined element into the element library of ANSYS, then use the solvers of the ANSYS to make all kinds analysis for thecurved pipes conveying fluid conveniently and quickly.A given example prove that the program has merits of high level precision, low cost of time, interact of man and computer, convenience of use and so on. It give new method in application development of ANSYS and obtain some new results of curved pipes conveying fluid by using the method.
