Pipeline systems are widely applied in various engineering fields, and vibration andnoise of pipeline systems have adverse effects on the systems themselves and the environment.So it is of greatly important to research on dynamics characteristics of pipeline structure.The first part is to establish transfer matrix models of the pipeline components, includingthe field transfer matrix of straight pipe model, curved pipe model and taper pipe model, andthe point transfer matrix of concentrated mass, flexible support, branch pipe and stepped pipepoint, space transfer matrix model and boundary constraint condition models. Then theoverall transfer matrix of the piping system is established based on the transfer matrix modelfor different piping components.In this paper, transfer matrix method as the theory method is used in solving dynamicscharacteristics on pipes conveying fluid systems, which is realized though establishing overalltransfer matrix equation combining the overall transfer matrix and boundary condition.Frequency-domain transfer matrix method is employed to solve the natural characteristics anddynamics problems of pipeline systems by Laplace transform, as well as a way to solve theproblem of time-domain dynamic response under simple exciting force by the inverse Laplacetransform.This method owns many advantages in calculating pipeline systems, such as goodaccuracy, brief calculation process, few variable freedom degrees and high efficiency ofprogramming and computation. It is an effective methed of solving the dynamics problems ofpipeline system, and it lays a foundation for the pipeline design of low noise and stability.Based on the idea of hybrid programming, VC++and MATLAB softwares are applied todevelop calculation vibration characteristics software of the conveying fluid piping systems.Using VC++software to achieve visualization development of software, and using MATLABsoftware to write the calculation programs based on the transfer matrix method for solving thevibration characteristics of piping system. Software functions include the establishment of thecomputational pipeline system model and calculation natural characteristics of pipelinesystem and dynamic responses with the simple excitation.
