In consideration of the serious energy-using situation and the rapid growth in energy-consumption of constructions and buildings, energy-saving in bulidings have become increasingly important. The wall is one of the most important parts in the envelope of residential building. In Hot Summer and Cold Winter Zone, nearly 20 to 30 percent of total thermal loss in residential building is caused by the wall. Considering to the climatic conditions, situation of energy-saving in buliding and resource characteristics of Zhejiang province, provided a good space for research and development of new-type thermal self-insulation materials in the wall.According to characteristics of Zhejiang ,developed new type of wall insulation materials : Perforated Diatomite Thermal Insulation Brick. The compressive strength of Perforated Diatomite Thermal Insulation Brick is able to achieve for construction, both in the interior and the exterior walls, and the thermal conductivity coefficient can meet the design requirements of energy-saving, and other performance indicators are to meet relevant national standards. Using simulation software to appraise the energy-saving effects of the energy-saving walls which is made by new-type thermal self-insulation materials, and compare with other energy-saving technology which is used for energy-saving in walls; Calculate the condensation problems as the materials used in the energy-saving walls; Provide methods to deal with the termal passages when the materials used in the framework structures, especially in the joint parts of columns-beams, and use the software to analysis the results; Calculate the themoeconomics and construction performance of the materials,and compare with other materials in the market which is also used in the energy-saving walls. The final conculusions are expected to be directly benefit to the application of the materials and the development of energy-saving works.
