In recent years, with the rapid increase of air traffic flow, fight conflict have become more and more serious. So it is very necessary to study mid-air collision. Collision risk of parallel route and crossing track under separation standard is researched in this paper.Firstly, research background, development and methods of this programme are introduced. Secondly, basic concepts of air traffic control are presented. Thirdly, collision risk models of parallel route and crossing track are analyzed respectively, the focus is on improvement of founded model, which is suitable for safety assessment of separation standard in domestic airspace.Research on collision risk model of parallel route is divided into two aspects. On the one hand, the modeling course of lateral collision rate of parallel route based on VOR in continental areas is analyzed by combining Reich model with probability theory. On the other hand, collision risk model of parallel route based on VOR is researched by probability theory.Research on collision risk model of crossing track is divided into two aspects. Collision risk of crossing track is illustrated by combining protected area method with probability theory. Protected area method is used to calculate horizontal overlap probability of two aircraft. Flight position error from the error of airborne navigation equipment is considered in calculating vertical overlap probability through probability theory. Then collision risk of crossing track based on VOR is studied by probability theory.On the basis of above model, airspace safety assessment application software is developed, which is able to be applied to meet the need of safety in domestic airspace. Safety assessment of two crossing tracks in Shanghai is simulated through this software. The result shows that the paper provides a feasible method for safety assessment of separation standard in domestic airspace.
