The development of the computer technology has driven the product design diversification. Only keeping product innovative ability unceasingly, can the enterprises base self on sure ground in fierce market competition. The CAD/CAM technology is the key means to realize innovative, CAE tech is the main technology guarantee to realize that designs. Today, development of computer technology is swift and violent, it require that enterprise to integrate product design with finite element method and three-dimensional simulate analysis system effectively to reach the market demands of manufacturing industry high-effect, low cost, and automation.In mechanism of crank-connecting rod, the connecting rod reliability problem is always the hot spot problem that people show researches and improvement for. In diesel driving force system, the connecting rod is one of the gravest part bear load, it bears the force produced by gas pressure and the inertial force moving back and forth and its self swing at the same time, these force's size and direction change cyclically, so it is very easy to arouse fatigue destroys. Consequently, design a light and sufficient strength connecting rod has a powerful position to modern diesel .The structural analysis taking Pro/E as design implement, taking Pro/M as analytical platform, being in progress to connecting rod analysis of the structure and properties of the optimization design .In Pro/E, the thesis analyses the connecting rod structure characteristic, sums up main structure characteristic of connecting rod in designing that, and takes model technology that based characteristic apply to connecting rod finite element analysis, discuss the modeling method of connecting rod, at last, builds the 3-D model of connecting rod.The thesis takes Pro/M as analytical platform, applies finite element method to study the diesel connecting rod reality force condition, the border condition and exerts load. Through analysis and calculation, locate the maximal stress and displacement. Among them, the dimension parameter is carried out sensitivity analysis by structural analysis implement. Find out the law that maximal stress changes with dimension parameter, diminish the maximal stress value of concentrating point by the fact that dimension constitutes after the structural optimization, resolve the primal problem destroying under working condition sincestress concentration leads to connecting rod fracture effectively. Modal analysis and calculate the frequency of connecting rod.Combine structural optimization with the finite element technology, below the permitted work pressure, reach the minimum target of function- mass. The result shows that the design is precise, and satisfy the connecting rod work condition need.
