Load modeling as a special diffuclt problem which is different to other power system issues is mostly due to its time-variantion .This paper is based on the project named Research on Load Modeling of Western Innermongolia Power System,and it focuses on the time-variation of the load.To begin with, common survey of this region is introduced ,including the identification of the load bus,composition of load and various typical laod characteristics. The detailed method of Component-Based Modeling approach, including how to gain the load models on the line and bus, how to dispose of the transformers is also introduced.Then a large amount of load curves of this region is analylised,from which we find the variable rule of the load .At last, the new load models are used in the simulation in BPA for analysis of system stability.What we find is that time-variable load models have little effect on the system stablitity,this is possibly related to the high percentage of high energy consumption in this region.
