With the rapid development of the power industry in our country, the integration level of information in power plants will be higher and higher. It provides the independent power plant owners with the challenges of improving their economies. For the purpose of this, the application of the system of optimization operation and economies of operation of a power plant are studied in the thesis. Then the principle and the methods generally used in economic operation and optimization system in domestic coal-fired power plants are analyzed. Also the advantage and disadvantage is pointed. It is brought forward as the system development. The advanced theory, Objective-Oriented Utility-Based Association Mining in data mining is adopted to analyze the data of 350MW power generating unit installed in Yingkou power plant. And the guidance system of on-line analyses is also based the application of that. The result given by the system after analyzing shows that the optimization heat rate can be analyzed expediently, effectively and truly. Then connects the export system, analyzes the operation and that can coach the operation personnel, reach the object of optimization operation.
