Virtual reality technology is a kind of synthetical technology which is based on the control theory, system theory, similitude principle and information technology, takes computers and special equipments as the tool and uses the system model to carry on the dynamic study of the actual or imaginary system. With the development of VR, the application of simulation is expanding, many simulation styles appear, many projects and scientific problems are also resolved by simulation.Flight simulation which is an important research aspect in computer simulation is a multi-discipline of system simulation, computer and navigation. It aims at complicated system and the movements of the airplane. Flight simulation has many merits, such as low cost, rapid benefit, security and recycle usage during the whole course of design, development, production, which can be utilized in aero-craft. Adopting advanced technique to develop simulation system for military airplane can achieve the training effect near to the actual combat and save a great deal of training outlay, can be free from the influence of the outside environment, and can make the pilots acquaint with the technique of how to drive airplane in a short time. So using flight simulation system to train airmen is very secure and economical. Therefore, fight simulation system has higher martial economical benefits and applied prospect by improving training level with advanced means and reducing cost.Flight simulation system includes three parts: data acquisition system, model calculate system, and simulative display system. The display of instrument is one of the most important pictures in the modern cockpit display system. The complex situation of flight requests that the graphics display of cockpit must be dynamic, real-time and legible. But in the raster graphic display system, scale lines and character will be distorted seriously owe to the limit of the display of CRT, which affects the display quality. This paper takes some software measures on the realization of the compass display, tries to improve the performances of graphics and the speed of display in the aspect of the graphics creating arithmetic. It presents a high-speed algorithm of antialiasing rotation of the moving lines, the circularity, the index, and the character.1. The article discusses the linear scan conversion, analyzes the causation of aliasing, and introduces several ordinary way of antialiasing.2. Based on Bresenham's algorithm and Wu antialiasing technique, the thesis gives a fast technique for drawing antialiased straight line according to the symmetry of the straight line. Based on above research, it discusses the Wu antialiasing technique and compares the lines draw by ordinary Bresenham algorithm and by Wu antialiasing algorithm. Also the article analyzes the limitation of the Wu antialiasing algorithm, and then advances the fast and accurate arithmetic of antialiasing about the aircraft display system. This accurate and algorithm of antialiasing has been realized successfully.3. Based on the antialiased straight, the article researches on antialiasing technology for the circularity and the index.4. The drawings on screen will be richer if characters are introduced into the cockpit display system. But parameters on screen are so many that characters could not be too large. On the other hand, small characters will be distorted seriously owe to the limited screen resolution in the case of deflection. To offset this, some special arithmetic making character should been developed. The forth chapter of this thesis presents an arithmetic of antialiasing rotation of characters. In this arithmetic, 24×48 ASCII is sampled and a new filter method referring to the taper filter of Gupta and Sproull is adopted. The simulation result has proved that this font is much more readable than the unprocessed same style one. Finally, using this arithmetic, a 8×16 antialiasing rotation character set has been set up and the relative maintenance software has been developed. This arithmetic may be used not only in cockpit display system, but also in all situations demanding small rotating character of high quality.In a word, flight simulation is an important field of computer simulation with many problems worthy to be discussed. Depending on scientific theory, taking advantage of advanced computer technique and combining some research results with practical experience, the instrument picture of the aircraft cockpit display system is displayed antialiased. Although there are some disadvantages of virtual aero instrument system in flight simulation, the antialiasing technology will play a critical role in promoting aircraft cockpit display system. It is still a useful practice for using flight simulation to resolve virtual visualization of aero instruments.
