The metal pushing V-belt CVT is a type of ideal transmission for passenger cars, which possesses many advantages such as simple in structure, easy to operate, low cost, high efficiency, low air pollution, and so on. There will be a great developing potentiality and extensive market in China. Because this is a new type of transmission that integrates mechanics, hydraulics, electronics and computer control technology, and it is just beginning to research and develop CVT products in China. For developing CVT products, we are facing many challenges in both transmission theory and its system design. Knowing and understanding these theories and key technologies is so important to advance our auto-industry level and to shorten the distance in auto-industry with the developed countries that is also the main aim for all great auto-companies. For this purpose, all aim of the dissertation is to focus on some of the key problems to develop CVT products, such as the start clutch and its control strategy, etc.1. After reading many reference literatures, we analyzed the features and mechanism of the metal pushing V-belt CVT. Especially, analyzed the structure and mechanism of start clutch. Because the clutch works in the various conditions, and must start the vehicle , analyzed the multiple disc wet type clutch function in order to provide the theory foundation for the reality startup.2. Introduce the fuzzy theory and fuzzy control strategy. Via establishing the dynamo model, analyzed torque transfer feature and the criterion of startup quality. The toolbox of Matlab software provide much convenience for establishing the fuzzy controller.3. Making the software and hardware of CVT control system. Introduce the pin and correlative function of TMS320LF2407A/DSP CMOP chip. Briefly expatiate the correlative equipment and function of controller hardware. Particularly introduce that how to make the software, program flow chart, Software Development Kit and so on.4. According to the above, test the effect of fuzzy controller fixed the HaFei car. Especially, write the data collection software. After collecting the data, analyzed the test result of three different conditions. From the test data, fuzzy controller can carry out the optimal combine rule, reflect the driver's purpose and provide the dynamics function in the startup process.
