Calculating methods on steel reinforced concrete (SRC) beams are different in many countries; they usually simplify or neglect the effect of bond-slip between steel shape and concrete. Steel Reinforced High Strength and High Performance Concrete structure (SRHSHPC) is a new kind of composite structure that high-tech concrete is applied to SRC structures. Admixture and production technology of high strength and high performance concrete differ from common concrete, and its natural brittleness will affect bond-slip and mechanical behaviors of SRC beams. The calculating method of flexural bearing capacity based on bond-slip behaviour between steel shape and high strength and high performance concrete is necessary to be deeply studied and perfected.A set of tests of 7 SRHSHPC beams under static load was carried out, in which three parameters such as concrete strength, shear span ratio and steel ratio were considered. Calculating method of flexural bearing capacity based on the bond-slip behaviour between steel shape and high strength and high performance concrete was studied. The influence of bond-slip behaviour on flexural carrying capacity of flange and web of shape steel as well as concrete was discussed. The bond-slip coefficient on flexural bearing capacity was proposed. At the same time, mechanical behaviors of high strength and high performance concrete were studied. Considering bond-slip coefficient, a calculating method for SRHSHPC beams' normal section flexural carrying capacity was proposed based on experimental study and bond-slip theory.Test results showed that SRHSHPC beams possess a high bearing capacity, a better integral stiffness and a fine ductility. The calculated results are corresponding with test results well. The conclusions of this paper will supply a calculating method of normal section flexural capacity for SRHSHPC beams and give a new method to study of SRHSHPC.
