T-shaped RC short-leg shear wall is single-axial symmetry section, according to the traditional reinforcement layout principle, under the eccentric loading: when the web is tensed, the flange of T-shaped RC short-leg shear wall is utilized inadequately, when the web is compressed, the failure of the member probably is brittle. Reflect on the code, the littler axial compression ratio have to be adopted in that the direction of the earthquake is uncertain, it will waste materials in this way. In order to change the mechanical performance of T shaped RC short-leg shear wall, to symmetrize mechanical behavior as far as possible, shape steel was especially embedded at the end of the web in hopes of tackling all kinds of problems result from the non-symmetry section.Based on finite element commercial software ANSYS, simulation test was done on T-shaped SRC short-leg shear wall which with common ratio of section height to section thickness of column leg under the monotonic load, and the failure form and the law of variety by different factor are revealed, and then studied the ultimate capacity of the cross-section and oblique-section. The main work was done as follows:1. Through the systematic simulation test of T-shaped SRC short-leg shear wall, thewhole failure processes from elastic-stage, crack-stage, to failure are observed, and the various failure forms of T-shaped SRC short-leg shear walls are exposed.2. The resolution of the nonsymmetry T-shaped section was put forward, shape steelwas embedded at the end of the web to symmetrize mechanical behavior as far as possible; the reasonable area of shape steel and the slipproof measures was given under the traditional reinforcement layout principle.3. Based on the analysis result of ANSYS, and refer to relative the test, the capacity ofcross-section and oblique-section was studied.
