Traditional phase-controlled rectifiers pollute the power network and make the efficiency of product, transmission, utility low because they have the disadvantages of low power factor, high total harmonic distortion (THD). Traditional phase-controlled rectifiers are faced with the new strange challenge of harmonic criterion. The positive method to solve problem is to research the novel converter, which has the merits of sinusoidal input current, unity power factor.The three-phase high power factor converter based on PWM control is elaborately analyzed and researched in this paper. The theory, topology and control method of voltage-sourced reversible converter are analyzed. The improved sinusoidal hysteresis band control method is proposed in this paper in order to reduce input current total harmonic distortion. The simulation analysis is done on the Psim. Compared with fixed band hysteresis current control method, the low THD is achieved in the system adopting improved sinusoidal band hystersis current control. The design of main circuit parameters and control parameters is done elaborately in the three-phase reversible converter system which DSP and IGBT are adopted. The uniform results to simulation are achieved in the test on the system, and the validity of improved method is approved.
