With the popularization of car in our lives, people pay more attention to how to make their cars become comfortable and safe. This paper proposes a design named 'Assistant System Designed for Parking '.The dissertation consists of five chapters.At the beginning of the paper, some investigations in the car guarding against theft are made. Many lost modes of car are analyzed too. In the third chapter, the Ultrasonic Intruder Alarm System Based on AT89S51 is introduced. According to the Doppler effect of ultrasonic, the ultrasonic T/R head is utilized to make an alarm. When somebody gets into the car illegally, the alarm system, which is installed inside the car, begins to work and cuts off the power of the car. In this way, the system can prevent car from being stolen.As a part of the assistant system designed for parking, the system of controlling rearview mirror is proposed in the fourth chapter. The system of controlling rearview mirror is based on the characteristic of rearview mirror. This system is convenient for the driver. They can adjust the rearview mirror in the cab of the car conveniently .The system overall structure is elaborated with an emphasis on hardware design and software programming of this system.In the final part, some deficiencies in the system are explained and an advanced alarm system, which is based on GSM short message, is put forward.
