Inspection and repair is important for the life of a bridge. Inspection is the most primary method to know whether the bridge is running good now or not, its result can be used to assess the bridge synthetically and provide advantageous and direct base for confirming the maintenance project. Repair is the method to deal with detection result. Based on the method of modern bridge, infinite element, random vibration, vibration testing and analysis technology, this paper studies and designs the inspection and repair project of Nan-Fei-He Bridge on Dongtu road in Hefei by summarizing the method of inspection and repair of some concerned bridges. Works are actualized as followed.1. Through the detection of bridge's appearance disease including concrete strength, protective layer thickness, bar spacing, steel corrosion, and bridge's geometric linear measurement, The bridge status has been accessed.2. Through the static load testing, the bridge structure containing the static strain and static deflection has been determined. The paper make clear the natural vibration and mode shape of bridge structure by dynamic testing.3. By comparing the static and dynamic load test data and ANSYS finite element analysis results, The paper made the judgment on bridge bearing ability and working conditions and weather the bridge can meet the design and use requirements.4.According the actual results and those in theory, this paper confirms the repair project of the briges.
