The transmission system is a most important component for the power framework of the helicopter. Power of the main rotor shaft and the tail rotor shaft come from engine. The engine's power has been translated to the main rotor shaft and the tail rotor shaft by the drive system. A lot of power has been translated to the main gearbox by the drive shaft. A part of power has been translated to the tail rotor shaft by the tail shaft and the tail gearbox. Fatigue damage is its primarily expired mode.By analyzing its working principle and character of the helicopter's drive system in recent years, such as main gearbox, tail gearbox, main rotor shaft, tail shaft, taper box and planet-gear-frame, in the thesis, we can give the method which confirming the fatigue life, and giving the exact test load by its principle and characters. By designing a logical test project for researching the calculating principle of the test load and the calculating method of the fatigue life, according to the test result, we can give the life of the drive system by calculating the fatigue limit and the fatigue life of a parts , and learning its use-potentialities, so we have store the techniques of the helicopter's drive system, in order to manufacture, testing and improving in the further.The thesis include primary four-parts: The method of confirming life; The confirmation of test loads; The design of test; The calculation of the fatigue life.
