Since the emergence of electrified railway, traction power supply system' s protection has been one of the areas of greatest concern. Traction load is not only moving, but also its capacityis is changing all the time. This is maininly concerned with locomotives, weight and speed of the trains, especially in the areas of busy transport. Since traction power bow has been in contact wire of the electric sliding contact state, traction locomotive need to activate frequently and speed up in the course of operation, which cause the contact wire vibrated, thus it will easily lead to a short circuit traction network. Chinese electric locomotive is one of rectifier electric locomotive, one after it' s load current rectified is cycle of non-sinusoidal, which contains a lot of harmonic, it enters into traction substation through traction power arm. compared with the same voltage power system substation, traction substation equipment' s the working conditions is even worse. For these reasons, the protection of traction substation configuration has also asked for a number of special requirements.In this thesis, traction power supply system as an object of research, focused on the Nanzi,Aji,Xuji and the others micro-processor protection products, statistics for large-scale protection action. Objective and accurate analysis accident, the thesis puts forward some measures about evaluate protection and to find the protection of protection to minimize the unexplained accidents. Carrying out research work in view of these problems, the author propose appropriate countermeasures, as to receiv a comprehensive strategies, improving micro-processor protection' s the security, thus provide electric locomotive with safe and stable traction power supply system.The thesis firstly focus on the transformer micro-processor protection of traction substation,the feeder micro-processor protection of traction network and the shunt capacitance compensation system micro-processor protection of traction substation. Through comprehensive analysis about principle of protection,setting,action or the others, the author put forward the corresponding countermeasures and make factual analysis on the shunt capacitance compensation system over-voltage. The thesis proposes countermeasures of reactor over-voltage protection, and certificate its correctness on practical operation.Secondly, the cooperation of the feeder protection and transformer protection is discussed; As phenomenons of override trips traction power supply system. Through research and theoretical analysis on micro-processor protection's time class difference setting, we certificate its correctness on practical operation.Finally, anti-interference and anti-thundering measures in microprocessor protection of the traction power supply system is discussed in this thesis, as protection frequent operation caused by the research of statistics the lighting stroke and micro -processor protection system thundering and the others.
