Research On Microcosmic Behavior OI Cyclists At Signalized Intersection

With the improvement of living standard, the automated traffic of urban residents grows quickly. A great amount of badly ordered bicycle traffic and rapidly emerged automobiles interfered each other severely. The interference of bicycles in automobiles has become a mail factor of urban traffic jam, especially in signalized intersections. Because of the existence of mixed traffic, operational order is disordered in our many cities. Existent traffic control system can not exert the function because bicycle traffic. The studies of the characteristics of cyclists' behavior in signalized intersections should put forward new thinking and method to resolve problem on mixed traffic in our country.This paper used video cameras to collect the characteristics of cyclists' behavior data at four different typical signalized intersections in Chengdu. Date analysis after data reduction process. According the soring, induction and statistics of these data, we got the main results of the data analysis include the distributions of bicycle crossing speeds and the analysis on all the factors that might influence, the bicycle stop decelerations and start accelerations and the analysis on all the factors that might influence, the gap acceptance behavior when cyclists want to cross a conflicting motor traffic stream and the analysis on all the factors that might influence. After all above, motor 's disturbance model to the bicycle were set up separately on the basis of data analysis finally and proved to be correctly. The optimized simulation system of mixed traffic flow was also built on this basis.
