With the rapid development of China's infrastructure and promoting the further development of the western region, the rapid development of railway, Highway and underground Project , a lot of long and deep tunnel are starting. The reasonable effective prevention and control measures around the large deformation of the surrounding rock were looking urgent and important.Based on the well-known examples of large deformation of the tunnel analysis, from the depth of the tunnel, lithology, environment engineering and support constraints, deformation and deformation mechanism, the occurrence of the time andetc, the tunnel large deformation of the surrounding rock is defined, but also simple and intuitive judgment large deformation.
