The railway signal system is very important infrastructure which is used to ensure the safety of train operation, improve the traffic efficiency and the working condition of the railway staff. It's developing level is a important sign that represent the modernization of railway.The single lines in China railway network have taken on rather important function. As the country's economy grow persistently, the demand for transport are higher and higher. So the ministry of railway has set down a strategy which will raise the speed of train generally for the transport of railway. To the single line, the speed of passenger trains are less than 120km/h in the past, all the related signal criterion and technical standards are based on this request at present. After raising speed, the speed of train will exceed 120km/h generally even reach to 160km/h. It will bring many problems to the existing signal system, such as the reacting time will reduce for driver to check the ground signal, the braking distance of train will extend and so on. If we continue to adopt the old control strategy of our existing signal system completely, we can't ensure the safety of the speedup train. Consequently, in order to satisfy the safety request of the speedup train, we must study the automatic train control system which adapt to raising-speed railway of the single line.This paper is oriented to the signal control system of raising-speed railway of the single line .It aims at the new demand after raising speed, analyze and study the whole system in term of technology, safety, economy, feasibility and so on. It fully takes advantage of the advanced signal technology and equipments from domstic and abroad. This paper put forward the compositive signal control system that adapt to raising-speed railway of single line in China, the system is a integrated system which include two approaching section before station, balise, main trainborne signal and train operation supervision and recording installation. It also give a clear definition of the interface between each subsystem of integrated signal system. Via spot test, we conclude that this system can satisfy the safety request of the speedup train. The study of the subject can provide not only operable technical guide for the engineering usage, but also some theoretic reference for the ministry of railway to confirm the CTCS1 system strategy.
