Energy method is very important in ship structural analysis .It describes structural equilibrium and distortion continuum through energy principle .Then structural problem is done .The course is not considered in this method ,so many complex problems become easier.This paper considered two aspects based on the energy method .Firstly, this paper gained a formula about deformation of stiffened panels under explosion loads and also explained the ultimate loads when stiffened panels damaged .Secondly, this paper has given a formula of buckling strength of stiffened panel, and analyzed gross buckling of stiffened panels being damaged.Warship vitality is a crucial aspect. Explosion is a vital attack for worship, it can make structures weapon and power equipment of worship to deform or even to sink. So it is important for evaluating warship vitality to exactly predict deformation of stiffened panels under explosion loads. It is also an important subject in structure dynamics. With the help of former production, this paper has given a deformation formula of stiffened panels under explosion loads. And the result was compared with experience formula and the result calculated by FEM. This paper also gives an instruction about ultimate loads which stiffened panels can resist.It is significant for ship to consider residual stability of structure. In order to rescue and protect the sea from polluting, ship should keep enough residual strength. Residual stability of structure is a part of residual strength. Stiffened panels are important parts in ship hull, appearing in decks, bottoms, bulkheads, and side shell and so on. When the loads acted on stiffened panels reach the fixed value, the stiffened panels will be destroyed because of buckling. There are three aspects should be considered: (1) Buckling strength that make stiffened panels be destroyed. (2) Yield strength which can destroy stiffened panels. (3) Fatigue strength destroying stiffened panels. This paper mainly considers the first aspect. With the help of energy principle, this paper has given a gross buckling formula of stiffened panels. And programs were given in Mathematic. Multi-forms of damaged stiffened panels were shown in this paper. And the results are convergent.
