Ship general vibrations reduced form various forces when ship is working. As long as there are excited forces, they may cause compatible resonance vibration. Even no resonance, they also make displacement, velocity and acceleration of vibration reach to a considerable extent, thus bringing serious effects on structure strength, nomal shipping and personal comfort and so on.With the improvement of battle capability about surface modern combatant and auxiliary ships, people make demands of ship quality, service performance under high sea condition and living environment of sailors. With main dimensions of ships and main propulsion engine power of ships become larger and larger, ship vibration becomes a more outstanding and more important problem. Ship vibration isn't restricted to global vibration but also local vibration. The main navy countries in the world exercise contribute to offer good experience to induce vibration. Especially the rapid development of electronic technology and extensive use of the finite element for vibrational calculation of ship structure, ship vibrational calculation rapidly develops.Whith the developments of national defence and navy warefare vessels, vibration becomes an obvious problem in recent years. In order to prevent multi-function ocean-going tugboat of 9000 horsepower from serious and harmful vibration, we should do some research on ship general vibration and predict vibration characteristics in design stage.
