World in the nowadays, The sources of energy insufficiency is gradually outstanding. Improve the energy utilization rate with energy equipment, cutting down energy consumption directly is one of the approach resolving this one problem importance. The dyadic heat exchanger of tube is the main equipment that the thermal energy exchanges, reforming by the aspect applying to petrochemical industry, after many field broadly, therefore to the heat exchanger energy conservation synergy has important significance.Recently, enhancing heat transfer technique for shell-and-tube heat exchangers has acquired much development domestically and overseas, and is divided into two directions, one of which is the development of heat transfer enhanced tube, and the other hand is the development of shell structure. Thus far, there are altogether tens of types of heat transfer enhanced tubes developed by domestic and overseas researchers, such as all sorts of abnormal shaped tubes and finned tubes.The heat exchanger with ripple tube is the newest kind heat exchangers. Many aspects must be taken into consideration when evaluating performance of a new type of heat exchanger. This paper analyzed the functions of the heat exchanger with ripple tube from two aspects: article and exam. The first, Comply with the analysis about the heat exchange function and the using function on Corrugated tube heat exchanger theoretically. The secondary, this paper use the experiment method to have studied liquid flows characteristic in the three kinds's ripple tubes. The outer tube surfaces were electrically heated to simulate the condition of constant heat flux. Average heat transfer coefficients and friction factors were measured for different tubes. The corresponding correlations for the friction factors and nuzzle numbers to the Reynolds numbers were obtained for the corrugated tubes. The results of the above corrugated tubes were compared with that of the smooth tubes. It was found that the corrugated tubes can significantly enhance the heat transfer under any of the three kinds of comparison conditions. The third, finished the mechanics-examination about the ripple tubes. We also finished the undirting-examination. Which indicated that the integrate performance of the heat exchanger is obviously better than smooth tubes heat exchanger.
