The linear motor attracts people's more attention increasingly after the research and development for one century more. The progress on high-speed machining technology has accelerated the applications of linear motors on machine tool especially. Now some motor manufactures and academic institutions have had the ability to produce linear motors, but the progress is still slow in the servo control system of linear motors. This dissertation presents the project about the permanent magnet synchronous linear motor (PMLSM) control and supervisory system, which has the independent property right after giving in-depth discussion on the development and application history of the linear motor abroad and domestic.The prototype of linear motor can be acquired from the general rotated motor, which is spread along the axes. It is same that the variational winding current generates the magnetic field for the PMLSM and PMRSM (synchronous rotated motor) according to the principle. This magnetic field makes the permanent magnet to generate drive force. It can use the same control mode to drive the two kinds of motors in principles. So this dissertation studies the PMLSM control and supervisory system based on the servo driver of the PMRSM. The research contents include the structure characteristics and principle of the linear motor, the linear motor servo control and supervisory system, etc.The linear motor servo drive control includes the interface between the servo driver and the linear encoder, reading the absolute position of the linear motor based on the endat protocol, detecting the initial position of the magnet field and so on. It need detect the axis d and q of the permanent magnet to identify the initial phase of the magnet field for the vector control of the PMLSM. Because the linear motor hasn't the mechanical cycle existed on the rotate motor, the method to detect the phase for the rotate motor isn't suited. This dissertation presents one method to detect the relative phase of the primary and secondary by the absolute linear encoder. It can find the initial phase of the linear motor and start the linear motor at any position.The supervisory system for the linear motor faces to the manufacture and client layer. It can supervise the running state of the linear motor include the important parameters such as winding temperature, push & poll force, velocity and position, etc.Finally, we integrate and test the linear motor servo control and supervisory system through one instance based on the research & development on the hardware and software.
