With the development of urban economy, because the traffic volume of urban increases in the gross andthe traffic problems of urban become increasingly severe, the traffic has become the bottleneck restrictingurban economy. One main reason is that the construction of city road network cannot meet the increasingrequirement of urban transport demand. Another cause is the modal imbalance of urban transport. Urban publictransport is mainly composed of Mass Rapid Transit and common public transport. Railway transit has manyadvantages, such as great capacity and rapid speed, but is still limited by the disadvantages of high investmentand long constructing period. The development of the traditional bus has being baffled because of its slowspeed and bad service. The transportation characteristic of Bus Rapid Transit is close to the Railway transit.Owing to an economic and efficient public transit, Bus Rapid Transit is a better way to solve the urban trafficproblems, it is popularized to solve the traffic problem by the national engineering field, the appearance of BusRapid Transit brings chance to solving the traffic problem in big cities of our country.First, based on the city characteristic of our country, the thesis analyses the subsistent problems andinfluencing factors of common public transport, introduces the buildup, feature, advantage, applicability,adoptable patterns of the Bus Rapid Transit; based on the status of Bus Rapid Transit lane in city, the thesisanalyses the types, the application feasibility, the traffic benefit of the Bus Rapid Transit lane, to look towardsto save the overall travel time of passengers.Then, based on the analysis of the delay of bus in the intersection, the thesis analyses the disposal way ofthe bus appropriative inlet lane, contrast the setting of the bus appropriative inlet lane without in the change ofpassenger's delay in the intersection; expatiate the modality and the implementing way of the intersectionsignal priority of Bus Rapid Transit, optimize and design the control parameter of the signal intersection basedon the least passenger's delay of the travel time; analyses the carfare, the ticket type, the paying way, the ticketinspecting way of the Bus Rapid Transit ticket system, to improve the service level and the operationefficiency of the Bus Rapid Transit system, so much as the whole bus system.Last, based on the analysis of economy, population, vehicles, city transit and public traffic actuality ofFuzhou city, the thesis expatiate the subsistent transit problems of Fuzhou city, analyses the needing andfeasibility of the implementing of Bus Rapid Transit in Fuzhou city, put forward short-term and long-termdevelopment strategy, and put forward the infection and subsistent problems and suggestion.
