This research was carried on a S 195 mode simplex diesel engine, included experiments on load characteristics at 1500r/min (the highest torque rotate speed) and at 2000r/min (rate speed). It is studied that the influence of DME and blended fuel as DME-diesel, DME-palm oil and DME-waste oil on diesel engine performance and emission characteristics, also the changeable relation about performance and emission after we adjust the advance angle of oil suppuration and the pressure of oil injection.The results show that we use DME and increase fuel feed at the same time, then find the power has not dropped. According to the equivalent oil consumption rate, we calculate that DME economical efficiency approaches to diesel's. In emission characteristics aspect: under the heavy load CO emission value is only 18.3% of diesel's; HC emission is higher than the diesel's, Maximum value of NOx decreases 51.7% and maximum value of smoke decreases 80% compared to diesel's.Burned blended fuel as DME-palm oil (DME10 and DME20), in emission characteristics aspect: CO emission of DME10 and DME20 decreases 50% and 70% mostly respectively; In HC emission, blended fuel is higher than palm oil, at the same time, DME10 is higher than DME20; NOx emission of DME10 and DME20 decreases 20.4% and 24% mostly respectively; smoke value of DME 10 and DME20 is palm oil's 30% and 20%. From these, we find the DME20'emission of CO, NOx and smoke is lower than DME10's. Burned DME20, researched influence of economical efficiency and emission in different the advance angle of oil suppuration, we obtain a better economical efficiency and emission when the angle is 18°CA.The experiment of blended fuel as DME-waste oil (DME20) shows that in 8.8 kW, CO value of DME20 is waste oil's 40%; DME20 is higher than waste oil in HC value; the value of NOx and smoke decreases with different degree. Among that, in 10 kW NOx value decreases 26% mostly and smoke decreases 21.7% averagely.Respectively used the blended fuel as DME-waste oil and DME proportion is 10%, 20%, 30%. We find regarding to DME 10, DME20, the pressure is 16MPa, the engine can obtain better economical efficiency and emission; when the pressure is 12.5MPa for DME30, the engine can obtain better these.Using DME and bio-diesel blended oil: on the one hand we can reduce the environmental pollution, on the other hand get rid of dependence to petroleum resource, and impetus the development of renewable energy.
