Because of the large-scale, high speed urgent demand of shipping enterprise, thehigh speed catamaran received the worldwide attention, and widespread applicationin recent years. The calculation of wave resistance of high speed ship with transomstern has also received many scholars' attention, this kind of ship has better rapidityand seakeeping qualities, and mostly served as naval ship. Obviously the research ofthis article has important academic significance and practical value.This article based on potential theory, uses the three dimensional Rankine sourcelow order panel method to calculate the wave resistance of ship considering thenon-linear free surface boundary condition. Distributes the Rankine source in the hullsurface and the free surface, calculate the source strength by satisfies the object planecondition and the free surface condition simultaneously.When processing the free surface boundary condition, first linearize the freesurface boundary condition, obtains the iterative format, and then gradually satisfiesthe non-linear free surface boundary condition with the iteration method. At the sametime, use the grid dislocation method to satisfy the radiation condition that there is nowave in the far anterior. That is to say set the free surface source at the certain altitude,simultaneously use the point source to replace the plane source distribution, anddislocation the point source a certain distance to the corresponding allocation point.Use the method above, take the series 60 and the Wigley monomer, catamaranand the WHUT02 with transom stern for example, proves the rationality of thisarticle's calculation method through compares with the test result and the otherpeople's result. This article first calculated the wave resistance of series 60, comparesthe result with resistance and self-propulsion tests result of series 60, they are wellcoincided, that confirmed the reliability of this procedure. Then calculate the waveresistance of Wigley monomer and catamaran, compares the result of Wigleymonomer with the experiment data provided by Chen (1983) and Rigby (2001), Ingeneral, the result approaches to other people's result. For the Wigley catamaran,change the demihull spacing of catamaran to calculate the wave resistance in differentsituation, then compares the result with Li Guo'an and Ye Heng Kui's Wigley catamaran wave resistance computed result. Because of time limited, this article justdiscrete the object plane and the free surface of WHUT02, but not obtain ideallywave resistance computed result.This article lay the first stone for the design of excellence resistance performancehigh speed catamaran with transom stern.
