With the development of economy and the improvement of living standard, more and more people go abroard by airplane which brings about some troubles to the airplane company. In order to make passengers safe and cozy and manage the airfield better ,the advent and application of the passengers boarding bridge (PBB) solves this problem successfuly.The passengers boarding bridge is an auxiliary equipment widely used in airfield, and it connects the hall for passengers and the body of the plane. The passengers go on or off the plane through the boarding bridge, and they will feel safe and comfortable. Moreover, the faster the society develops, the more boarding bridges are needed.For the fundamental research and the practice design of boarding bridges,it already has the history of nearly 40 years. In its early design, the designer mainly takes the related mechanics and mathematics knowledge as a foundation., then carries on the design according to designer's experience. Along with computer science technology swift and violent development, the computer widely is also applied to the project area of technology. Each special cartography and computation software emerge one afteranother incessantly. In the machinery equipments in modern design method, finite element method is the quite commonly used methodThere are many kinds of boarding bridges. Ripple corrugationed steel passenger boarding bridge is the pattern that is hard to design. Its structure is more complicated than comparing to other patterns.As a designer, how to design a boarding bridge according to the up-to-state situations? On the one hand, we should reduce the cost for the maker, On the other hand, we should safeguard the passengers. So we establish the finite element modal of one type of the ripple corrugationed steel passenger boarding bridges based on ansys and finish the analysis.Applying finite element in the structure design of boarding bridges, and carrying on the calculation of it, we can get the accurate and reliable results. We can also obtain the distribution of the stress and displacement of every load cases from the powerful pre and post processor of ansys. In this way, the deficiency of structure can be improved, thus the reliable basis for the design of boarding bridges can be provided forMoreover, this article also carry on the computation of modal of the boarding bridge. The metal structures of Boarding bridge have its own natural vibration frequency, in the design we enables the natural frequencies to avoid occurring resonates, effectively reduce the vibration peak value. Each natural frequency of the structure corresponds certain vibration mode,if we can get the accurate vibration mode, we may distinguish clearly the bad frequences, thus controls the frequences, and avoids the resonating.
