| Recently, there has a phenomenal increase in the use of computational methods for engineering applications with the development of computer techniques, and mathematical methods on designing engine cooling system had been rapidly developed. At present, the numerical simulation method has been used to design the engine cooling system overseas, but the domestic car cooling system designer mostly relies on the empirical design and the massive contrast experiment. In recent years with development of the computer simulation, some mathematical models and the computational method appeared one after another, greatly reduced the cooling system match designing work load.In this paper, according to the experiment data providing by Yangzhou Tongshun radiation equipment factory, we used the multiple non-linear regression analysis with the SPSS software to fit the j,f factor which can forecast the heat transfer and the flow resistance characteristic. Then its credibility was proved through the experiment data. Applying the E—NTU method we established the designing computational procedure about selecting radiator of engine cooling system in MATLAB, providing the reference for the radiator selecting design. Simultaneously we had established the dynamic characteristic simulation model of the engine cooling system, then carried out the dynamic characteristic simulation of car under the different movement operating mode (starting, accelerating, decelerating, stable movement). We obtained the variation characteristic curve about the cooling system water leakage temperature along with the time. Our work provides the basis for further optimal design of the car cooling system. |
