The competition of China's auto industry is becoming fiercer.Optimization of development process and product performance have become effective ways to enhance competitiveness.Good performance of engine is the premise of all performance.As the most important part of the engine cooling system,cooling fan has a direct impact on the cooling performance.Its performance optimization is a worthy research topic.In this paper,the flow and method of cooling fan computeraided design and analysis are established,which are used to optimize its aerodynamic performance.The main research contents are as follows:Firstly,the basic design theory,geometric parameters and performance evaluation indexes of cooling fan are described.The basic theory of CFD is briefly summarized to lay a foundation for the subsequent numerical simulation.Secondly,the experiment of aerodynamic performance of fan is conducted,from which the performance indicators and the performance curve are obtained.On the basis of experiment,the CFD simulation model of the fan is established to simulate the aerodynamic performance.The simulation results are compared with experimental data to verify the rationality and feasibility of the simulation analysis and calculation,which lays a foundation for subsequent research.Thirdly,Explore the parameterization method of engine cooling fan,parameterize the 2D blade profile and 3D stacking line.Under the guidance of parameterization method above,the development of fan automatic parameterization modeling software was completed.Fourthly,based on CAESES paltform,auto-modeling software,grid division software and simulation software are combined together(along with CAESES built-in optimization algorithm)to realize automation of fan design,simulation and optimization.The circumferential bending law and stagger angle parameters are selected as design variables and the optimization strategy of response surface + genetic algorithm was adopted to complete the optimization design of the original fan model.The parameterized modeling,numerical simulation and optimization method of cooling fan discussed in this paper,together with the optimization platform,have universal engineering application value and can provide effective reference for engineering development.
