The Evolution Of Architecture Design Way In The Process Of Digital Society

It is not the topic of this paper to discuss the specific applications of computer-aided design, but to try to exhibit the influences and changes in recent years and future in architectures, which is brought out by digitization in the information society, from a perspective of architectural design theories and methods.With the developments of the information age, tremendous changes have taken place in all spheres of traditional life. The importance of digitization of Beijing has been emphasized along with the slogan"Green Olympics, Hi-tech Olympics, Humanistic Olympics"in Beijing's bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games. This provided a rare development opportunity and challenge for china, and so for architectural field. Life of digital mode has result in a set of new design tools and design patterns other than the transformation in constructions and city in which people live. In such a new creative background, what are the influences to our architectural field? What kind of changes will happen in this field? How will our architects face the new opportunities and challenges? what's the impact to traditional architecture? Whether we will undergo the significant revolution in the architectural history…From different angles and at different levels, this paper shows the development of architectural design in the digital era. There are five chapters in this paper, the main focus of which is to describe the development and changes fro the perspectives of architectural design itself, the method in architectural design and architects.The introduction provides the background of the study and talk about the domestic and international situation. It also describes the theoretical framework of the study and its significance. Chapter 2 discusses the development of architecture itself. From aspects of space form, function and structure, material composition of constructions, it explores the influences and applications of digital technology in architectural field. By showing the development of method for architectural design, chapter 3 elaborate on several questions: computer-aided design in architecture, development of architectural expression, changes of vehicle of architecture. Since computer-aided design is altering the way of thinking of architects as well as providing them new designing vehicle, new design method and new means to analysis and study, chapter 4 talk about the architects, the principal part of architectural design. It also looks into the future and put forward some new opportunities and challenges.Finally, with the development and deepening of digital technology, the entire design process is becoming more and more rational, which is reflected not only in the process of analysis and design but also throughout the entire design construction. Meanwhile the potential of information technology itself has not been fully unearthed. It's role and influence in some respects has only just begun. So it is still early to five a systematic conclusion to all aspects of the innovation in architectural design brought out by digital technology. But with the passage of time, the development of technology and the deepening of study, we will wait and see the development of architectural design.
