Exploration Of BIM Technology Application In Computer Aided Architectural Design

With the flying development of information technology and golobalization of internet, the ability of managing and exchanging information has been improved greatly. As an important tool, digital technology also has been developed at very fast speed.In the field of Computer Aided Architectural Design (CAAD), 2D CAAD which hold leading position already cannot meet the need of informationized society. Chinese construction is faced with double challenges: not only the industry efficiency crisis also the giant press for change to energy efficiency building life circle mode.Advanced computer technology and information technology bring higher demands, offer more advanced tools and methods as well. Taking full advantage of the software and hardware technology, applying with the developmental trend, adopt the most advanced technology means and software tools to improve Chinese architechtural design level and increase the industry productivity, Which is an urgently problem.In the architechtural design, the virtual building model created by the application system based on BIM technology include all of the information of a building. It's a comprehensive database including all of the building information, which can be used in archrectural design, structure design, equipment management, calculation, evaluation, maintance and so on.This paper studies the application of bim technology in computer aided architectural design. From the point of architectural technology, studies deeply and systematic the BIM technology.At the same time, this paper takes example by computer aided architectural energy efficiency design, offers effective theory, process, method and way for the application of BIM in the design. This paper offers reference for architectural energy efficiency design.
