Research On The Riverside Design Of The Great Cannel In Jiangsu Province

The riverside is an important constituent of the Great Cannel and the city. It based on not only the history, politics, economy and culture, but also the geography, geomorphy and hydrology. The riverside has the value of the ecological and cultural heritage. In other words, the riverside relates to the entire development of the Great Cannel and the city. The landscape of the riverside is paid more attention, along with being listed as the sixth batch of national protection cultural relic and declaring the world culture inheritance. Therefore, we must delve the Great Cannel and find a way fit for the design of the riverside.The riverside of the Great Cannel in Jiangsu province had been chosen as the research object. The conception of the riverside was defined through the literatures, books and the internet. At the same time, the study on the ecological, visional and human value provided some theory basis to the research on the Great Cannel in Jiangsu province.Based on the investigation (such as interviewing the inhabitant, taking pictures, coordinating with the department to collect quantification materials and the examples as more as possible) of the Great Cannel in Jiangsu province, mainly the cities of the northern Jiangsu (Huaian, Yangzhou) and the cities of the southern Jiangsu (Zhenjiang, Wuxi, Changzhou, Suzhou), the problems were summarized by completely and scientifical analysis. For example, because of the lack of reasonable design, the landscape layout of the riverside was disorder; the landscape content of the riverside was tedium, lack of the characteristic; the water pollution was serious, the river ecological environment encountered the serious destruction owing to the improper opening intensity and construction dynamics; lack of the integrated protective measures.The domestic and foreign landscape designs of the riverside and protective experiences were referred to solve the problems. Making use of the ecosystem ideas, the cultural protection principle, the environment ideas and development ideas, the landscape elements of the riverside were analyzed, then the basic principle on the design of the landscape was expounded. A programming was carried out in the city and the downtown of the riverside, a design considered of the ecosystem, vision, humanities was implemented.The study was hoped to take a hand in the landscape design and play positive effects on the declaration of world cultural inheritance.
