Study On The Phenomenon, Problems And Sustainable Development Of Residential Suburbanization

Urban development is a process with balanced and unbalanced changes, twisting evolution. According to the urbanization stages that western developed countries have experience, the process includes Pre-urbanization, Urbanization, Suburbanization, Counter-urbanization, Re-urbanization etc. Among them, Suburbanization is the necessary stage, which took place in Europe in the middle of 19century. Suburbanization mainly refers to the changes of city from agglomerating development to loosening development, including the migrating process of population, industry, commerce, service etc in the city proper and built area from inner part to outer part, from central area to suburb. Of them residential suburbanization, which developed countries (USA) experienced it in the 1920s, is one important stage accompanying suburb population. Compared with the western countries, urban residential suburbanization in our country begins to appear in our country, especially in some big and middle-sized cities and developed regions along the coast. However, because of the different background and dynamic mechanism between our country and western developed countries, our residential suburbanization experiences different features and patterns. Based on the analysis of suburbanization at home and abroad, the paper focuses on the analysis and study of suburbanization in Changsha City and tries to discover the development law. Then, the paper puts forward some patterns of residential suburbanization which will be suitable to soc-economic development and urbanization in Changsha City, for the sustainable development of residential suburbanization.The paper is divided into seven chapters.The first part of the paper is the exordium. The paper mainly focuses on the background and significance of residential suburbanization, formulates research goals, methods and some crucial problems to be solved, and defines the concemed meaning of residential suburbanization.The second one is the study on the residential suburbanization at home and abroad. Based on the development process of residential suburbanization in developed countries and our country, and the analysis of characteristic, mechanism and problems of residential suburbanization, the paper summarizes the concerned experience and lessons and, meanwhile, discusses the enlightenment that residential suburbanization overseas bring to our country.The third part of the paper analyzes the current situation and mechanism of residential in Changsha City. The paper mainly focuses on the analysis of its components, distribution types, basic features, patterns-chosen and its dynamic mechanism, which is the key part.The fourth one is about the development trend of residential suburbanization in Changsha City. In the part, according to the urban development and changes of housing consumption in the future, the paper predicts the development trends and main types.The fifth part narrates the key problems that exists in the residential suburbanization in Changsha City.The sixth chapter is the choice of development pattern of residential suburbanization. On the basis of the discussion of five districts in city proper and Xingsha, the capital of Changsha County, the paper puts forward the sustainable development patterns, which is also the core of the paper.The last one is the conclusion.
