The research and development of high-speed vehicle crosswind stability is introduced based on the published papers, and it can be concluded that simulation analysis is an important method in research on high-speed vehicle crosswind response characteristics.First of all, how the practical crosswinds generate and how to be described with mathematic formulas are presented. And the road tests of vehicle crosswind stability using generators are introduced. This study can serve as theoretical and experimental bases in later chapters. Then, a multi-body vehicle dynamics model exposed to crosswinds is established by the ADAMS software. And the effects of the step crosswind gusts are simulated from the aspects of linear driving test and step input test of steering wheel angle.Afterwards, during the simulation analysis, pressure center's shift is taken into account in co-simulation of ADAMS and MATLAB. Through comparison with test data, the precision of vehicle model and the validity of co-simulation method are testified. Undoubtedly, this study offers a new way in the multi-body simulation domain. At last, crosswind sensitivities of some vehicle parameters are studied, which offer important reference data for optimizing vehicle handling stability with the crosswind. In conclusion, some inherent rules and relations of high-speed vehicle stability are revealed in this paper. Furthermore, some measures for the improvements of crosswind stability are obtained. And the results offer important reference data for optimizing vehicle handling stability with the crosswind.
